Terms
Last updated: [TODO: date of review]
Draft — not yet reviewed. These terms must be reviewed before the site goes live.
These terms apply when you use this website or ask us for a quote. When you engage us, we send you a short engagement letter for your specific job. If the two ever disagree, the engagement letter wins.
Who we are
Chiaro is operated by [TODO: legal entity name, registered address, VAT number]. We are not a registered Italian accounting practice. Where Italian law requires a registered professional to sign or transmit something, a licensed commercialista does it, and we tell you which parts those are before you pay.
Quotes
- A quote is free and does not commit you to anything.
- The prices on this site include VAT. Your quote is a fixed price for the work it describes. If we find something the quote didn’t cover, we tell you and quote it before doing the extra work — never after.
- A quote is valid for 30 days.
What you agree to
- To give us complete and accurate information, and to tell us if something changes.
- To review the return we prepare before it is filed.
- To pay the tax due on time. The tax itself is yours; our fee does not include it.
If we get it wrong
If we make an error in a return we prepared, we cover the resulting penalties and interest up to €500. This does not cover tax you would have owed anyway, or errors caused by information you gave us that was incomplete or wrong.
What this site is not
Information on this site is general. It is not individual tax advice, and you should not rely on it for your own situation without speaking to us or another adviser.
Cancelling
You can cancel at any time. If you cancel before we start work, you pay nothing. If you cancel after, you pay for the work done so far, and we never charge more than the quoted price. If you are a consumer you also have the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for contracts concluded at a distance. [TODO: confirm wording against the Codice del Consumo.]
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Italian law. If you are a consumer, you can bring a claim in the courts where you live. [TODO: confirm.]
